M.O.D.O.K. (acronym for Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing) is a playable character in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.
Role in the Story[]
"Doctor Doom is scouring the planet looking for the cosmic Lego bricks from the Silver Surfer's board and enlists the help of A.I.M., who supply him with a purpose-built ship, the Doom Tanker. This navigates the seas looking for bricks and is crewed by A.I.M. Goons under the jurisdiction of MODOK. So as the player is tracking the cosmic Lego bricks – when they least expect it – MODOK turns up to rain on their parade. As sinister as ever, MODOK assaults the player and tries to slow them down allowing Doctor Doom to escape in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Research Submarine."
History[]
Before George Tarleton became M.O.D.O.K., he was a member of Advanced Idea Mechanics where he was of average intellect. As a member of A.I.M., Tarleton worked on experiments to unlock mental potential, some say that he volunteered and others say he was forced, but Tarleton became the experiment. After the transformation, he had an amazing and vast intellect, but the experiment drove him insane and was to be known as M.O.D.O.K.: Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing. He quickly overthrew A.I.M., and became their new commander. As leader of A.I.M., he has had confrontations with several superheroes such as Iron Man, Captain America & The Avengers.
